Mike, you every purchase anything major from Elderly? I've just bought minor odds and ends, and I have no complaints there. I love their selection, I just wish I would get their catalog more often. Or maybe they don't print it up as much as their competitors? Seems like I may oonly get 2 or 3 a year.
Anyhow, that is beautiful finish!

I have only purchased a few things from them. Bridge pins, etc. I basically use them as a "Price quote" to lower my purchase price at a dealer that has an item in stock locally....and I have personally played. Elderly typically gives a quote of around 35% off list. I have a top 5 discount at a major seller. I typically get up to 45% off list on a new instrument. But I always have to "work" it! :rlol:

Yea very beautiful guitars, there were quite a few floating around not long ago. I almost pulled the trigger on one, but decided to get the National instead.
Gruhn had one, and Buffalo Bros. had a few as well, although I think BB sold all of them.

sorry, but for me the black parts are too fat... makes the guitar looking smaller as it is... less would have been more.... my very first spontaneous impression...

I do prefer the Gibson teardrop sunburst over Martins burst. But I have been in burst mode lately and prefer a burst over a plain top. This may change at any given moment!
EDIT: Just 6 months ago, as far as an acoustic went, I truly preferred a natural top. But now, give me a BURST or BLACK.....makes my blood boil! :Loco:
EDIT EDIT: Haven't given into BLUE, GREEN or RED flatops! As of yet........ :beany:

Those pictures don't really do the Martin Burst much justice either. It's darker like that, because it's they're Vintage Burst.
I really like Martin's Amburst... mmmmm.
