Well im going to be the oddball here, but I usually am.... For me. It would be a Kramer Ferrington made by Danny Ferrington. OR. the Kramer AX series thats an explorer body thinline acoustic. Both were somewhat limited production but have the necks that I so dearly love.
so. go ahead and laff. Im used to it. lol

Oooo... I had one of those Kramer Ferringtons when they first came out sometime in the eighties. Black Tele-shaped body and a hockey-stick headstock. It was a darn poor Acu/electric but it did have a great neck & board.
My selection.... hmmmm.
As much as I appreciate the quality and sound of Martins & Taylors there has always been a soft spot in my heart for maple Jumbos. I guess for me it would hafta be either a Guild or Gibby Jumbo in maple with lotsa abalone.
... and my name inlaid in abalone script on the headstock.

Just wish I was "That good!" We are all allowed to dream. Right?
I will post my "Holy Grail Custom" when we get a few more.............Keep the comments coming!

i really like nbtb's bella nezra, (or soon to be) man that thing is gorgeous the sessions dvd shows it off very well!
i would have to say a 56-59ish original strat would rate VERY high, blackie/srv #1 era type guitar
i wouldnt mind a really nice 58 or so les paul either....
i cant pick just one :rock-guit

I do love the old Guilds... great guitars... not sure how the new ones compare... That being said, I do love vintage instruments, however, I recently bought a Takamine acoustic/electric with the cool tube preamp, and I absolutely love it... it is a dream for recording, and sounds great unplugged as well, so that is my choice at this point in time... I love the old instruments, but the 2 I bought new this past year are both very cool, and I do not regret buying new this time around... :coolgleam

Whatever Paul Simon was playing when 'Parsley, Sage, Rosemary, and Thyme' was recorded. In the meantime, I'll take a Guild D-55, JF-55, or F-50...
