Hey all,
Got a rare night alone with the guitar. Had to go "unplugged" so to speak. Been on a acoustic kick for some time now.... anyways, I remember reading a post here about "sniffing" your guitar, you know....you stick your snout up to the sound hole and hope your wife dosen't walk in.......

Anyways thought what the heck, why not...lol...looking up into the sound hole I found a neat "Godin" sponge glued to the inside of the heal.

Neat. See...... the things we would never find had we not been crazy in the first place to look for them.:Loco:

Well, hmm. No sponge in mine. Across the neck joint up there is a label that has the 'veins' of a Maple leaf and it says "Handcrafted in blah, blah, blah." But it isn't made of sponge... unless it is under that label?

Hmmm.

I dunno, just had a second look and perhaps it might not a sponge, but maybe a off coloured piece of wood with a textured "Godin" logo. At first glance last night it looked like rather spongie but I ain't sticking nothing in there to prod around.
Its definatly a "Godin" label which isn't just a sticker, but carved out of wood.

I never noticed it before.

I gotta get a pic. This thread is useless without a good picture.
