Malapoka???

I was looking at Resonator guitars and found this one at Rondo. :smiling s But what the hell is Malapoka wood? Anyone heard of this stuff?

Got me on this one, never heard of it. It's gotta be some sort of laminate though I would imagine.

Malapoka? Oh, that is a special tonewood that Kurt grows for that line of guitars.

Actually, I dunno? You google it and only four results show up, one of which is an ebay auction for and SX banjo.

Nothinbuttheblues should buy one, since he is Reso-less right now, and give us the low down... is it worth $159? I like the looks of it!

That Rondo kinda looks like a Dobro F-60, or one of those Dobro Hound Dog's. Would be interested in hearing it if you pick it up :smoke:

Hmm I dont know how good a Rez could be for $150, that said I am no Rez expert I must admit. For the cash though prolly would be worth a try.
