I've been lusting after the Agile Silverburst on Rondomusic.com. However, they no longer manufacture 'em with block inlays, which makes me very, very upset.

Since I had my heart set on blocks and would have to settle with traps, would a block inlay installation be costly? Worth it?

A set of M.O.P blocks from Stew-Mac runs $43.79. They have some books and videos on how to do it as well. And of course, you are going to need the tools, if you don't already have them. I'd say it is safe to say that you'd have half the price of the SIlverburst tied up in parts and tools before you begin, if you were to do it yourself. Not sure what someone would charge labor for that though, but if I were going to try it myself I'd practice on a guitar even much cheaper than an Agile first.

It's definitely an art form that doesn't come easy or quick, and good tools aren't cheap.

Maybe look for a used one that already has the inlays you want?

Hey, I'll bet they've never done an Agile before!
Could be a first for them...

I kinda always like traps better than blocks myself.
