Can't wait to get this one. The holiday might goof up shipping but should have it any day.
It's an '08 AmStd. Ash. The seller says it's in the 6 pound range.
Should be awesome.

So that is being shipped to the greater Puget Sound, right?

Just kidding... Great looking Tele! To me, "tele" will always mean *ash* tele... That's just an image that is burned into my mind.

Anyways, again, beauuuuuutiful Tele!

Thanks guys, I'm pretty stoked.
That is either a one piece body or the the best bookmatching I've ever seen.
Looking forward to getting my grubby mits on it.
More pics to come.

Really nice guitar but I hear you on the saddles.
I'm gonna run them for a while but I will check out the Calahams.

Having recently had an 08 strat I was familiar with changes Fender made to the AmStd line.
I had a new AmStd strat I sold because I could not get the action low enough without using the Micro-Tilt and I prefer not to use that.
Really nice two piece body. Not as light as the seller said prolly closer to 7 pounds than 6 but comfy nonetheless.
It almost has a spalt look to it.
The neck set angle on this Tele is perfect. I can setup a nice low action the full length of the neck while still having the saddles high enough to have a good break angle.
It sounds and plays great. The jury is out on the bent steel strat saddles. They sound nice and airy but they are a little hard on my picking hand. I have some Graphtechs on the way I may put on.
Anyway I get to break it in at a church service tomorrow.

Now that you've said it I can see it's a two-piece. But it's so perfect matched that it looks like it's a one-piece that someone sawed in two and then glued together again!

Extremely nice instrument, congratulations! :hat-man:

Sounds great!
Played a church service Sunday a.m. and had a couple extended solos.
Great fiery harmonics and yet sounded really pretty on the mellow stuff.
