Are there unknown Bands you have been to see recently, you could recommend.
Please, dont use this opportunity to plug your own band or get your friends to

Please state gendre too.

I have just been to see the Groove Doctors, they play all there own bluesy material and they are really worth going to see. Excellent songs, played expertly, and with passion and humour.

I Also enjoyed the blues band Nu_Blues who are combining blues music with some Rap. The guitarist is worth a listen, superb :guitarist

Hi John, if they ever tour here in New Zealand, I will definitely be going to see Los Lonely Boys from the U.S.A.

If you haven't heard of them, go here: www.loslonelyboys.com

3 very soulful Texmex lads who channel SRV and Carlos Santana beautifully in their own refreshing way. Not blues per se, but neither was SRV, more blues/rock or as they call themselves "Texican Blues/rock".

Austin City Limits Festival last year had BOTH Los Lonely Boys AND Robert Randolph on the bill! RR ended up jamming with half of the North Mississippi Allstars (another great band, worth checking out, if you don't know them, John - that's where Nu Blues got a lot of their ideas, I suspect!) and Skunk Baxter out of Steely Dan.
That was one hell of a weekend!

Here is a thread worth reviving..................I would like to see the Groove Hogs. I've never seen them, but have heard their music. The first time was on the Sopranos, as it were....I saw their name on the credits and bought some of their music on iTunes.
