I don't know if i like it either. It doesn't look that bad, so i guess is a question about it's tone.

And no, tone is not in the onion, right? :smoke:

If it's still for sale give it a try, I think the maker is/was asking about $2,000 for it. If I remember correctly Zachary, the builder of it, claims it sounds great, says that if Leo Fender had had an Ikea store handy back in the day he would have built Teles with their chopping blocks. Then again another guitar builder built a guitar from an Ikea chopping block like that one and recconed it was really heavy and sounded terrible. Zachary is a "unique" personality who rages against Fender, Gibson and especially PRS. Mind, you might not be allowed to buy one of his guitars, as customers have to undergo an audition/interview before he decides if you are worthy of one of his instruments.

I read about a guy that had bought 2 Ikea end tables on clearance and made guitars out of them with good results. I keep looking for old mahogany end tables, coffee tables and kitchen tables but haven't had any luck so far.

I wonder about its sustain.

Coffee tables or end tables probably wouldn't be thick enough to build a guitar.

And you can bet that "Tele" knockoff weighs a ton, but maybe he would throw in a chain link guitar strap. And for only two grand, such a deal !!

I like the raw look of the wood and the p90 but noy sure if i like the overall looks and would not pay $2000 for it.

I like the looks too - would gladly give a few hundred for the partscaster!
