Saw on facebook that Delta $^&*#$ up on of Joe's Signature Les Pauls, guitar number 52.

He is in Australia right now. On facebook he wrote:

Well... a mixed day here in Sydney. Great show and completely sold out. But with great sadness I have to report Delta airlines has destroyed # 52 JB Goldtop. My Favorite and the one I used at Albert Hall and a million other shows. Its going in for a restoration as soon as I get back but it killed me.


On twitter he wrote the following:

"Rest in Peace # 52 Gibson JB Goldtop. Delta Airlines did a number on it.. Thats two albert hall guitars in less than a year. Im gutted."

Man, that sucks. I wonder how it was cased? They'd really have to want to mess it up if it was in an Anvil.

i saw i forgot what city .where 70 percent of the people who do the bagage on to the plane steal stuff.can't you buy a seat and put your instrument next to you.i know cello players do that.man what a bummer

Well, see, that is why they created the Voyageair guitars! So at least you are the one folding it up and cramming it in an overhead compartment!

I saw another guitar player had a guitar destroyed on an airline a day or two ago. I didn't recognize the band or guitarist though. So why does the airline industry hate guitarist?

It depends what step of disipline the offender is on.....verbal warning, then written warning, then one day DLO, then three day DLO, then ten day DLO. After that comes firing, normally, but maybe the unions would opt for caning if it would keep the offender employed!
